Hindu Svarājya and the Muslim veto ⭐

Table of Contents

1. Short version

A more precise demand than “Hindu Rāṣṭra” is “Hindu sovereignty”

The right to do things as per our interests without a group’s parochial veto—“things” including management of said groups when they threaten us.

Put this way, it becomes obvious who our two enemies are.

2. Long version

The majority of Indian RWs started out attracted to BJP’s development record. Hindus aren’t really a people who have genocidal whims for no reason.

We just wanted roads and ports and temples and deregulation.

What radicalized people is noticing the insanity of the Muslim veto: a group voting and acting based on absolutely no policy except for the parochial/ethnonarcissistic interest of their group, and Hindus being restrained from doing whatever they want to do in their own country lest it offends Muslims.

You know how bizarre it is, that we were not allowed to, out of our own money, build a simple temple on the birthplace of our lord, something that 80% of the population yearned for—because it would offend Muslims?

[And having a mosque there wasn’t even a priority for Muslims! The Ayodhya temple raised ₹3,500 crore ($400 million) from Hindus for its construction, while the Ayodhya mosque mandated by the supreme court has raised … ₹90 lakhs ($100K) from Muslims: https://theprint.in/india/just-rs-90-lakh-raised-in-5-years-why-not-a-single-brick-has-been-laid-for-ayodhya-mosque/2259763/ Either the lowest priority for Muslims was held above what was one of the highest priorities for Hindus—or it was not the presence of their mosque there that Muslims valued, but simply the absence of our temple.]

Honest to god, the Rām temple had not been a priority for me personally. (I was a kid in 2014, and was saying things like “we should auction the land off to the highest bidder and see who values it more”—well, we just saw who values it more.)

But I know people who did, and felt genuinely satisfied at seeing the happiness on their faces the day the verdict came. These are people who would have personally built a temple there with their own money and their own hands brick-by-brick—and for decades they had been forbidden from this satisfaction (or died long before seeing it happen) … because why, exactly?

You know how bizarre it is, that we just passed a bill (CAA) to allow persecuted Hindus+ and Christians from Pakistan and Bangladesh to seek refuge in India, and Muslims all across the country protested—no, violently rioted, resulting in 65+ deaths—to try and stop that?

“It’s discriminatory because it doesn’t accept Muslim migrants”—nobody seriously thinks full open borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh is a good idea. So we must leave those actually being systematically kidnapped, raped and murdered there to their fates, because it doesn’t make Muslims feel included?

Do you understand how bizarre that level of ethnonarcissism is?

“Muslims just got confused because it came alongside NRC and they thought we were kicking them out of the country.” Leave aside the absurdity of the idea of starting a violent nationwide riot over “confusion”. Do you know how bizarre it is that we cannot have a national citizenship card because it makes Muslims feel insecure?

And somehow, in all of this, it was /Hindus/—the ones standing up for the rights of their brethren, as well as that of Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians—who were demonized in the international media over this event;

our elected government that was condemned by international dipshits and on Wikipedia and everywhere else for “violently cracking down” on violent riots (while, soon after, Western liberal governments were violently and brutally cracking down on anti-lockdown protests during COVID)?

Do you understand how bizarre it is that a simple inclusion of Hindu imagery in a Health ministry logo elicits outrage because it offends Muslims?

Do you understand how bizarre it is that we are condemned for voting for the only party that builds infrastructure, does economic deregulation, governs competently, gives the poor basic dignities in life like homes and toilets in them and gas and electricity and running water, and protects our national security … because Muslims don’t like that party?

Do you understand how ridiculous is the demand that we should put aside all of our other policy priorities (as well as our cultural pride) to cater to one community’s ethnonarcissism and insecurities?

Do you understand how bizarre it is that despite every Hindu-Muslim conflict (whether in medieval and colonial history or in post-Independence modernity) having been initiated by the latter, somehow it is us that are put on the defensive and need to constantly make our case? That despite Muslims being maybe the literal least persecuted group in the world (and most responsible for persecuting other groups), it is “Islamophobia” we need to constantly worry about?

Sorry, man, but I would like my people to have the sovereignty they deserve. Hindus really have never persecuted any religious group that did not attack us first (as cliche as that sounds). Not only other faiths within the Dharmic fold, but also Zoroastrians, Jews, Christians, Hellenic pagans have lived here peacefully since millennia—and we have often gone to war to defend them.

I would not like my people to go the way of the Lebanese Christians—ruled by a literal terrorist organization in their own country they have lived in for thousands of years because of increasing Muslim demography. I do not know exactly how to prevent this—but I know that letting Congress (or any non-BJP aligned party) that caters to every whim and fancy of the Muslims prioritizing it over all else, is definitely not the solution.

My people should be able to do and get what they want with their own will and resources—whether that is roads and ports or temples or simply their lives—without the veto of some narcissistic minority community. That is the goal of Hindutva, that is Hindu Rāṣṭra or more accurately that is Hindu Svarājya (Sovereignty).

3. Hindoo Rāṣṭra

When we can fund candidates in US elections to counter Pakistani/Qatari lobbying without being accused of Islamophobia, when our Midwit Human Capital is incentivized to grindmax snippetjeetry instead of UPSCjeetry, when there is serious HNat school of history and Hindoo High Culture is promoted by govt and media, all without resistance, that is when I will know Hindoo Rāṣṭra is here.
