There’s a meme in some US RW circles, that the best way to get a policy passed is to get RWs/Trump to oppose it.

This isn’t exactly true, libs are too smart to fall for that, but the converse is often true: for things that libs would have supported in the first place, the best way to block it is for RWers to aggressively push it — because that makes it hard for libs to support it without other libs viewing them with suspicion as potentially crypto-RWs.

Shitting on Indians is something that libs would have done in the first place. There is a lot that is objectionable to libs about Indian culture, Hindutva etc. and our poor aesthetics on many things makes it quite easy to shit on us.
